Prius v V several warning lights, car ~normal

    Prius V v with 60000 mi, driving normally, all of a sudden I start it and tire P, traction, collision avoidance, and airbag lights come on. While driving cruise [speed] control won't work and gives an error message. Brakes are 'slow' like the electromotive brakes are not working but the friction brakes are. Lights stayed on for about 10 days, then went off for 2 days, and then came back on. Any suggestions? Is this something I have to bring to Toyota or can some other electronic car shop help?

    Sounds like a 12 v battery going bad. Is yours original to the car? If so, you're on borrowed time with a 7 year old battery. Get it checked and replaced. AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts will do it for free.

    welcome!
    once you know you have a good 12v, you will need someone with a prius aware scanner. if not a dealer, are there any hybrid shops around?

    you can check your inverter pump by looking for movement in the fluid reservoir.

    hopefully, it isn't a wiring issue caused by rodents

    I'll have the battery checked. I have another 2010 Prius that the battery went bad a couple years ago but characteristics nothing like this. First clue was the blower slowed, then half of the dash display stopped working. And then the battery died and the car could not be moved. I had it towed to Toyota where they replaced the battery.

    If the brakes are caused by the inverter pump, the brakes are part of the same problem as the lights. Brakes returned to normal as long as all the lights went off.

    Battery tested bad and so I replaced it. But all warning lights: Traction, Tire P, ABS Brakes and PCS collision remained on.

    Went into a shop which had a code reader that could read Toyota Prius. The error code 2391 came up. There was an option to clear all error codes. We selected that. Lights went out and so far have stayed off. Everything including brakes appear to be working normally. Device used was a tablet-you could identify make and model of car, then input the VIN, and it appeared to be able to read everything.

    Car ran fine for a week or so, but then the same warning lights came back on.

    Turing off the code display is not curing the root problem that caused the code. Most Toyota specific shops get the codes read than then are presented with a diagnostic sequence that they are to follow to pinpoint what is causing the problem and how to fix it.
