"This Toyota Prius has been modified by Energy Conversion Devices Inc. of Rochester Hills to run on hydrogen using a new lowpressure hydrogen fuel tank."

"Ignore the funky paint job, and the 2005 Toyota Prius looks - and drives - like any other year-old hybrid passenger vehicle on the road.

This Prius runs off a battery - and on hydrogen, the most common element in the universe.

    ROFL :D
This must be high in the ranks of the most silly argument ever used.

Would be a perfect quote for a news flash in the Onion.

Ha! Got that right! The Hdrogen *element* all by its lonesome isn't found naturally anywhere handy that I'm aware of. Yup, there are lots of them floating around... but they're all stuck to something else! I too get tired of hearing the "most common element" sound bite. Talk about a non sequitur!

So the big breakthrough here is that they modified the ICE to burn H2? Good lord. There's no question we could have this "technology" today. Wouldn't cost much more than a gas car. Would just be more expensive to drive, way less connenient to fuel and likely dirtier than a gasoline Prius.

We don't need to look for more things to burn in an ICE. We need to figure out how move our transportation needs AWAY from ICE.
