Hello! This is my first post here.

    I have a US 2008 Touring Prius, Package #6.

Ever since I got this Prius a couple months ago, it has been working fine. However, this morning I went in it, and something unusual happened. I put the key in the slot, put my foot on the brake, and turned it on. However, all the lights came on, and stayed lit. The engine did not turn on. I made sure I wasn't in accessory mode, so I turned it off. When I put my foot on the brake, and pressed the START button, the indicators started blinking randomly, and then the car just stopped. The horn stopped working. The gas indicator went from 5 bars to 1 blinking one. The lock IN the car stopped working. Meaning I could not lock my car from inside, or via the remote. I then saw a faint CHECK ENGINE sign for a couple of minutes, but that soon went away. Now if I try to turn it on, it does not turn on. Also, yesterday there were no warnings that there was something wrong with the battery; the car was running fine. As of now, a buzzing sound (similar to when you turn it off) is coming out of the vehicle.
    Any help would be appreciated!

It's very likely your 12v battery is dead.

Weird stuff happening? MPGs dropping? Test The Battery

This is the regular 12V battery, not the expensive hybrid battery. Just like in non-hybrids, these 12V batteries fail with age, and most commonly give up the ghost as just as winter approaches. But because the Prius lacks the familiar groaning starter noise, the symptoms are entirely different and unfamiliar.

Welcome aboard! As others are saying, it's probably just the battery not a major problem :)
