So there are a few items that I want to order off the Prius shop but after reading some of the threads around here I am becoming very hesitant of doing so. It seems like they have pretty horrible customer service and the turn around time on the items is very slow. Can anyone give me some info regarding past experiences.

Also if I were to order I noticed on the Prius shop website that if you are a forum member you get additional discounts. Is this correct? If so how do I access that part of the website? I know that Danny has a link in his signature but I think the link is dead.

I am specifically trying to get the heatshield for the front window.

The all weather cargo mat for the trunk (is this the one that is being sold through Toyota? It looks different).

The Weathertech cargo liner (is this the same as the cargo mat? I don't have my Prius yet but I know that the cargo area has an additional area under the visible area. Is this for that area or the one on top?)

My Prius is arriving in a couple of days so those are a few item's I would really like to have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just ordered the all-weather mats and rubber cargo mat last Friday (9/4) and they arrived yesterday (9/11). For a bulky item like that and free shipping, and the holiday weekend, I assumed it would take awhile so I was actually surprised to get it so fast. No problems so I was pleased with the experience.

The floor mats and the cargo mat say "Prius" on them, packaging indicates they are OEM and they look like what I saw at the dealership.

The cargo mat is in two pieces. Basically the break is where the fold would be in the normal carpet cargo mat. It sort of overlaps and slots together though to hold it in place and it looks like one piece once installed. I wish it were one piece for spills and the like (it seems like something that spilled in that little groove could seep through), but I think it will be fine. Anyway, that's not the PriusChat shop's fault, just something I didn't realize and thought I'd pass along.

You just brought up a good point I should go to a Toyota shop and see what there mats look like. I really appreciate your insight.

Since I don't have the Prius yet I was wondering if you can explain something to me. In the cargo area I noticed that you can lift it and there is a compartment underneath to place items right? Is the other mat that is available on the site for that area? I am going to be placing art supplies down there and I don't want it to get messy down there. Is it lined with anything or do I need a mat for that area?

The lower storage area is plastic...no carpet

It's not lined. Depending on what you have in there and how messy your art stuff is, it might be fine. Or maybe you could just cut an old carpet remnant to fit or something.

Nice, so which now that I have that question answered here is one more.

Which mat do you guys prefer the Weathertech or the OEM mats? I know the OEM one has the slit so it's easier to have access to the bottom compartment but I really like the way the Weathertech mat look and how it raps around the cargo area. The only issue I have is since it wraps around the cargo area does it effect anything when you lower your chairs to have a larger cargo area? Or do the flaps that wrap around the chairs come down. I hope I explained that right.

I don't know much about the Weathertech one. I think the OEM rubber mat will suffice for my purposes. I just wanted something that if I occasionally transport something that might leak or get some dirt in there, I can take it out easily and spray it off. I didn't really consider the Weathertech, maybe I should have, but I figured this would be fine and the uniform OEM stuff would look better.

I don't have the Weathertech one, but the cargo liner we get from Toyota in Canada looks almost identical to that except dark grey (who knows, maybe Weathertech makes it). If it's anything like the one we have, it's a soft rubber/plastic that easily bends down if you put something on it after turning down the seats.

I'm happy with it. It's easy to keep clean versus putting things directly on the carpeted cargo area.

I have the Weathertech and it looks very similar to the one pictured. It fits well and works great.

Apparently there is an OEM liner/organizer thing for that area that you can buy:
2010 Toyota Prius Cargo Organizer NEW OE:eBay Motors (item 320400327177 end time Oct-15-09 14:49:41 PDT)

You might ask at your dealership so you don't have to pay shipping (of course they might mark it up by that much anyway).

I can't speak for it or anything as I don't have it, but saw it in another thread and remembered your question here.

Thanks for all the reply's. I was aware of that organizer but upon looking deeper into it I found out that is will take up most of the space you have in that cargo area. I would like the cargo area to be as free as possible since I will be placing my large drawing paper and other art material in that compartment. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't get too dirty.
