I have 2017 Prius Prime. This morning it showed 22 electric miles but in the 6 mile trip it hasn't used any! I reset the mpg and it's average an all-gas average, I.e. 50 mpg.
    Anyone experience this?

How cold was it this morning? If it's below 10°F, the car will use the engine to provide heat to the cabin and thus will run the engine. (i.e. in hybrid mode).

it was 28f here this morning. worcester might be a bit colder. nonetheless, it could just be one of those toyota disclaimers, 'the engine may start at any time for any reason'.

or maybe you were in hv mode or ev auto?

If you run the windshield defroster when it's cold out it will start the ICE.

Or if you accelerate too quickly while the battery is cold it may start the ICE.
