I just had a good experience powering my house from my Prius Prime 120v outlet.

I was running my gas generator during a long power outage and thinking about the gasoline cost at about 1 to 1.5 litres per hour of consumption. I realized that I could probably run the essential items from the Prius.

I was successful in running two fridges, household lights and some electronics off the car outlet for an hour before the power came back on. One fridge is full size and the other is smaller but still about 5’ x 2’ with a freezer compartment. The1500 watt outlet is pretty robust!

The wiring method was a little bit sketchy but could also be done with extension cords. I connected the Prius to my generator connection into my house breaker panel and fed all of the 120v circuits except heavy draws such as the microwave, dishwasher, toaster, etc. And I switched off all 240v breakers. The main breaker is off and has a lockout plate when I run from the generator breaker connection.

There was minimal drawdown of the Prius battery sitting in Ready mode with the 120v outlet on. I will have to try this again to see how many hours it could last.
