too funny. I love the "censored" emoji :D

    Good catch.
The wheels look better than expected. But the body (front and back) remind me of several big-jowled aliens in the various Star Wars movie bar scenes. Gotta get me a car that looks like one of those!

Prefer the 2016 Hatchback look. But, the truth is that what's under the hood is what counts. It's all about the tech. And I noticed no center caps on the wheels.

The wheels look promising in the silver. If/when I get my Prime, those silly covers will come off and stay off. Looks like they're testing it pretty well out in the wild now. Getting closer.

I could be wrong but they look like the same wheels as the 16 non-touring and the same ones they've been using for the 10-12 gen 3?

That's because that's the lightweight 15" alloys without the aerodynamic wheel covers that you saw at NYIAS.

They're the same wheels as the Gen 4 non-Touring models. They're oh-so-slightly different than the Gen 3 2010-2011. Yes, even I got fooled until another PriusChatter showed them side-by-side.

Yes the regular 2016 seems to me the better design and it's growing on me. At least the front and sides.

I love how they don't even have to camouflage it. Other than the back end, it looks like any other Gen 4 Prius out there, so people who aren't photographers specializing in taking pictures of test cars, or Prius Prime fans, probably wouldn't know any better.

Looks like they changed their mind !
Isn't that a headrest in the middle of the back ?
Hope they did something to increase cargo space too !

    ???

How can you possibly see that small rear headrest? Are you not mistaking the front passenger headrest to be the middle position headrest? From the angle of the photos, even if there was a headrest in the middle, you wouldn't be able to see it.

That's my thought, but US spec rear head rests are massive. I leave them off without rear passengers. Then again, I don't recall any of my recent rides having a rear middle headrest.

Only the outboard ones. The rear centre is still a collapsible version. The rear headrests were designed due to a new rule in the FMVSS a number of years ago now (obviously before the Gen 3 since they were the first ones with large rear headrests).

speaking of what's inside, from those pictures - either there's a ton of headroom, or that driver must only be 4 foot 10".
. . . . not that there's anything wrong with being shrimpy. If it wasn't for people like me, the Prius store wouldn't sell so many of the "extend-my-seat" brackets

I think I saw a white one driving through Anaheim a few days ago too. I wasn't sure because their hydrogen car has an equally monstrous front in looking mouth and the Glimpse was too quick to distinguish.

The US has a stricter whiplash prevention regulation that results in the huge rear head rests that block the rear view. Thus why I take them off when there is no one sitting back there. European version of the car model get low profile head rests.

The cars I'm familiar with seem to be to small(2013 Sonic) or too old(2006 HHR and 2005 Prius) to even have a middle head rest.
