We have used our Gen 2 Prius as a generator in time of power outage, with a sine wave inverter. Has anyone successfully done the same with a Prius Prime?

The short answer is yes if your power needs are not high. There have been many threads on this topic. Electric power from a hybrid, connecting inverter to the high-voltage system | PriusChat
To hang a rough number on whether your power needs are "high" or "not high", PlugOut Power (a commercial vendor in this space, the one Azusa linked to) maintains a "supported vehicles list" with a power limit recommendation for each; on that list a Prime is shown suitable up to 5 kW. Maybe "not high" by some standards, but I could think of a lot of things to do with 5 kW.
