Prius Prime Advanced Entune APP Charge Management Not Updating

Since about the October/November Prius Prime Advanced firmware update my iPhone's entune app's charge management only rarely updates successfully. Like maybe once out 15 or 20 tries or worse.

I'd like to learn if this is a problem that everyone or a lot of other Prime Advanced owners are having. This was one of my favorite features as several of my favorite destinations have charging and it would be nice to be able to check the charge status without having to walk out to my car!

Is anyone else having problems like this when trying to update their charge status? This used to work reliably; not 100% but 90% plus. My dealer & Toyota corporate is looking at replacing my entire entune console in the car (seems a little drastic to me).


Please let me know your experiences and if you are having the same problem (or not) currently. If you did have it before and it's been fixed, what was done to repair it?

Yes, I have an iPhone. Toyota replaced my console unit and has been working on this since the problem started last November, roughly coincident with a firmware update. Before then I worked about 90% of the time like you.

The car acts like it's not getting the incoming cellular connections most of the time. The reverse of your experience or worse: 90+% failures. Only seems to work where there is a very strong Verizon signal.

The point of this thread is to find out if this is a widespread issue or just my Prius Prime. It's starting to look like just mine. Maybe a problem with the entune cellular radio? Hoping to get further diagnosis this week.

FYI other remote functions like climate commands are failing too. Again, like incoming connections are mostly getting ignored or not being received. The other think it could point to is the cellular antenna or a connection to it.
