Prius PHV adaptive high beams at work

    Yesterday I finally had the opportunity to test the LED adaptive high beams of my Prius PHV. They were one of the reasons which convinced me to buy the Prius PHV, even though here the Government does not deliver any kind of incentive or tax discount. I am satisfied, anyway you may judge yourselves.

    Very subtle took awhile to pick it up. Seems to react very well. Nice road, I want to drive there. Ours suck.

    I see what the IIHS means by the reduced light output on sweeping left turns (near the end of the video). But otherwise, that's pretty awesome - the right side stays bright and you can see the side of the road for animals or pedestrians while the light dims towards the side of opposing traffic.

    Looks great, but I might never get to use it. Being 72 years old, I’m seldom out driving after sundown. Usually on my sofa with my first glass of wine at sunset :)
