Tom Fudge, host of the public affairs program "These Days," on KPBS (San Diego affiliate of National Public Radio) speaks out on his Prius ownership experience. http://www.kpbs.org/Other/DynPage.php?id=2151
Nicely stated. I still think the Gen II are nice looking cars. I have never thought a car was "sexy", more of a guy thing there. I do think it is sporty and fun.
Uh, we need to send Mr. Fudge (great name for a likely liberal, huh?) a group pic of the Black Prius-Driving Chicks. (Yeah, OK, I know...) galaxee, tracysbeans, Rancid and the others (can't remember all the names in that last-minute flurry a couple of months ago): would you please all meet in the Safeway parking lot in Emporia, KS at noon on June 25 for some group pics? For one set of pics you can wear jeans and your favorite top, and for another your fave beachwear. (Fudge is in San Diego, after all.) We'll pick the best ones here on PC by poll and forward them to Mr., er, Fudge. We'll force a retraction.
I haven't met Tom, but his parents (the NICEST people) are members of the church choir I'm in. To top it off, Mr. Fudge Sr. was in the Robert Shaw Chorale years ago when my voice teacher was a soloist in it, and he was also a classmate of a stage director at San Diego State University who did all the Gilbert and Sullivan productions there. Talk about a Small World!!!
