Prius computer capabilities

    Anyone know how powerful the onboard computer is? I'm thinking in terms of speed, memory, storage...the usual computer specs we use at home.

    The Prius uses multiple computer components, of course, and they can't really be thought of in the same regards as a home computer.

    For example, the Prius computer is a hybrid: it operates with both 1s and 0s.
    Also, depending on the outside air temperature, the Prius computer's memory expands or contracts allowing you to load it with more or less data.

    On the same note I read something about the USSR working on a trianary system for computers, yes, no and maybe. Did not pan out. We know that several of the CPUs are 32 bit (up from 16 bit in the Classic) These include the HV ECU, ECM Battery ECU and Skid Control ECU. There are 3 LANs in the car. I have not seen specs on the amount of memory in each ECU.
