Prius C 2012 won’t start, check engine light, buzzing of electric engine

    Hello all
    Please help
    Prius c 2012 does not want to start.

    Check engine light turns on. A light buzzing as though the electric engine is engaged can be heard. Hard to lock and unlock the car.

    Didn’t forget the lights or anything else running. We did just have our first snow in DC.

    agreed, 6 year old battery, colder weather = failure to launch

    the buzzing is probably poor voltage to the brake pump
