I saw this 2006 parked at Sandy Beach near Honolulu yesterday. I chatted with the owner who said that the depicted fauna were all local species. Pretty cool.
That's nice Pat thanks. Glad to see you made it back home! I have not seen that car yet but now I have to be on the lookout. Did you tell the owner about PC?
Thanks, I did not mention PC. She expressed concern about the traction battery ending up in a landfill so I spent my time telling her that 1) this is an issue only if the traction battery fails, and 2) Toyota has a battery recycle program, so no worries.
Did they paint on it directly, or it is a transparent printout? From the door handle, it looks like direct paint.
I am going to speculate that it was airbrushed on by one of our local airbrush shops. There might be a signature or company name somewhere in the murals if you look hard enough. Upon further review I located the signature on the left rear door below the turtles tail it says, -COSMIC- which is short for Cosmic Airbrush. http://www.cosmicairbrush.com/index.html http://www.cosmicairbrush.com/autogallery.html
