Prius Alpha upgraded Power tailgate

Hi guys and girls, as promised I will update here as soon as we have upgrades done to our Prius Alpha.
The first thing we did is the power tail gate. This car was purchased in anticipation of our 2nd daughter who will be joining us next month. As there will be a lot of trolley lifting and grocery carry with baby carrier in one hand we had to fit this upgrade ASAP. It is exactly what we wanted a power tail gate with kick sensor, cockpit and remote access.
The process took the technician 3 hours to fit and pull all the lines.

Tomorrow we will be getting the upgraded center console. I really wanted a 10 inch floating display but now looking at it a 9 inch integrated into the dash seems cheaper and maybe better looking...
We will make a decision on the spot tomorrow when we go to the shop.

We will post here as soon as we have the unit fitted.

 

Hi guys and girls here are some close up photos of the power tail gate.
The latch and pull down pocket has been replaced by the new hardware for the power tail gate.

Here is a close up on the new electronic latch and operation button which replaces the pull down pocket.

Next are new fittings which go where the old ones were, there is residual glue from the OEM fittings.
