prius 2010 hazard light on by itself

    Hi today on my prius 2010 hazard light start by itself and can't turn off,going faster lights flashing faster,
    any solution how to fix this problem,no other lights on dashboard,no check engine light.Thanks for any help.

    The first step is to plug into the OBD2 port and run a scan.
    You'd be surprised at how much data these things put out if you use the right scan tool. And, it's a lot cheaper than throwing parts at it.

    One thing to check (and hopefully eliminate) is rodent damage.

    Hello. I’m new…and also not a mechanic. My hazard lights wouldn’t stop.A local mechanic franchise told me they don’t work on these cars, that I had to take it to a Toyota Dealership. I did. They said I needed all kinds of stuff (of course). I attached the estimate.

    So I’ve read some of these stories and fixes.
    It looks like I might fix it by clipping a blue wire on something.
    Or possibly replacing the skid ECU altogether.
    I already work 2 jobs, but maybe on a down day I can do more research and try the first option. If that doesn’t work then replace the ECU. I can’t afford to pay thousands of dollars to get this fixed. I am hoping to have some of you mechanics that are familiar with this stuff to ask questions.
    Please tell me if you think I’m being unreasonable.
