    Hi

Im desperate im in mexico city i have a prius 2004 this car was not sold in mexico, mechanics dont know how works a hybrid not even in the toyota dealer PLEASE HELP ME OUT i have this issue for sometime with it

1 year ago i replace the water pump the electric inverter water pump the one in front of the inverter left side back the headlight
    car work fine
then i replace the coolant inverter pump 6 months ago the one in the left driver side in front the tire
    I already replace the thermostat
    replace all the coolant
    replace the radiator cap
Car doesnt get hot no issues on that

    - Daily i drive the car around 30 miles no issue in the morning and 30 miles at night no issue on the car no codes no lights in the dash no nothing.
    - If i use the car all day long first appears the red triangle the lights abs and the VSC no problems in the car work fine after a while the brake sign lights up and then a biiiiiiiip sound apears so i need to shut the car off and then the biip goes away and the warnings still in the dash
    - so in city car works well in regular home work without lights if car works all day warnings in dash
    - If i get the car in highway to another city in an uphill road after hours the car has not power to go up and i need to wait for a while to get on the road again then stop and then wait and so on

    My codes are the following
-P1116 [ in which i look around and probably i need to replace the temperature sensor TX109 and the coolant temperature sensor TX221 (this sensor i cant find in mexico one do the TX40 works the same???? only i need to sand side connector guides to fit)] do i replace them?????
    - C1241 searching seems the aux battery not working i already check it out in an optima dealer and they told me is working fine
    - P0A7A tells on the inverter performance its necessary i replace it???? really is very expensive and plus the shipping into mexico more some guy tell me replace all the relays on the car not sure about that???? or do i need to replace the HV ecu?????
    - PA093 inverter pump which i already replace it twice??????

REALLY WONDERING TO SOMEONE HELP i have spent a lot and the car is the same im a student and i have no money i dont want to trash the car but really i dont know what to do

This is why I do not recommend a Prius to poor students, if something goes wrong it is never cheap.

Before we go further, the 12 volt battery powers all these computers, if it is weak, all the codes may be faulty. Get your 12 volt battery fixed first.

P1116 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Out of Self-Test Range
    Possible causes
Low Engine Coolant Level Faulty Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor
Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness is open or shorted
Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical circuit poor connection
Faulty Engine Coolant Thermostat Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

C1241 - Low Battery Positive Voltage
    Possible causes
    Low Battery Charge
    Faulty Battery
    Faulty Charging System
    Power source circuit

If the 12 volt battery is good, check the cables, but your car is 13 years old, so the battery could be ancient.

P0A7A may well be the transmission, but again I bet it goes away once you replace the 12 volt battery.

    Gen 2 Prius (2004-2009) Transmission Failure, P0AA6, P0A92, P0A7A - Luscious Garage | Hybrid Specialists

    P0A93 TOYOTA - Inverter 'A' Cooling System Performance 1
    Possible causes
    Faulty Inverter cooling system
Inverter cooling system harness is open or shorted
Inverter cooling system circuit poor electrical connection
Faulty Water pump with motor assembly
    Faulty Cooling fan motor
Faulty No. 2 cooling fan motor
    Faulty Inverter with converter assembly

Note that the Prius has two coolant loops, one for the engine (where the thermostat is) and one for the Inverter. They are not connected and just because one is the right temperature, does not mean the other is.

I find it very suspicious that you show errors in both.

    1. Make the Prius READY, and check the inverter coolant reservoir for fluid turbulence. If you do not see this, the inverter coolant pump is not working or you have air in the system.
    2. How well does the cabin heater work? Do you hear any air bubbling in the heater core when you have the heater on? If you do, the engine coolant loop has air in it which must be removed.
    3. Check the engine coolant level in the radiator, not just in the translucent overflow container.
    4. Who replaced the inverter coolant pump (behind the driver's side headlight) and the engine coolant heat recovery system pump (in front of the left front tire in the wheel well)?
    5. Did that person know how to get the air out of the system, especially for the engine coolant loop which is difficult to purge? If a mechanic is not trained in Toyota hybrids, there is a good chance that this was not done correctly. So you might be able to drive 30 miles at a time without a problem, but the inverter may overheat on longer trips which causes the DC/DC converter in the inverter to shut down, and puts stress on the 12V battery which will discharge under those conditions.
    6. There aren't many people on this website who have demonstrated significant Prius technical knowledge as well as fluency in Spanish, so you may need to get a friend who can translate English to Spanish for you.
