with a recent purchase of the wifes 2012 gen 3 being so enjoyable i decided to replace my truck, that was no longer road worthy due to rust, with a low cost 2004 gen 2. its a very basic build, not sure which package but it doesnt have much in the way of extras, if any. having always been a car guy theres no way ill keep the mod bug at bay for too long. i have had way too many vehicles over the years (project cars) and participated in my share of autocross events. and now, with kids, its just nice to have a reliable gas saver that isnt going to distract me (or require constant fixes) from the more important things in life. at the moment i dont plan on doing a whole lot with winter right around the corner. i hope to start acquiring a few parts (suspension, wheels/tires, fogs) to have fun with come spring. this forum looks like a great wealth of knowledge and im looking forward to diving in.
