Is there a way from the Vehicle Inquiry Report from a dealership to determine what port a vehicle is sitting in? The dealership I ordered from found one that met my desired specs/color/options and they said it was sitting in a port heading to a different dealer, but they could detour it to them instead...and it could arrive in as little as three days. Well, that was ten days ago.

The Vessel Name was the Eminent Ace- but in looking at websites that show where that vessel was on the 8th, I don't see HOW this vehicle could be in the San Franscisco Bay area at that time as the ship was heading southward well north of the SF bay area on 9/10...it was due in Benicia on 9/11...three days after the dealer said my vehicle was sitting in a port. So...I'm wondering if the reason for the long delay is they need to find or await a car transporter that might be making an unusual trip from a port way, way north of Benicia...like maybe even in a different state.

So, the intended or "Current Dealer" on the Vehicle Inquiry Report is 120-04122. IF the vehicle was in port on 9/8/09, I would think it would be in the area near the dealership- so how do I find what dealership is 120-04122???

I awoke today to a Prius commercial on my television...and a blue 2010 followed me 20 miles into work today. I'm hoping those are omens that my dealer will be calling me today to come in and get my car!!!

Update: Seems in researching here on PC that the only three westcoast ports are Portland, OR....Benicia, CA...and Long Beach, CA....based on the vessel's location on 9/8/09 it leaves me with the troubled feeling that the reason it's taking so long for them to deliver a car that they said could be here in three days is that it's in the Portland Oregon port facility and they won't move it until they have a car transporter full of cars heading to the bay area in a similar manner...Why do I have a sinking feeling that I'm going to be one of those buyers who were told by their dealership that it could be days...but those days may turn into months???
