Poor MPG with the "trailer" Prius v

    Have you had your engine air intake/filter/throttle body, fuel filter, tire pressures and alignment checked?

    Our 2012 Prius v Five tracks like on rails, carves corners, has great power, yet yields 40+ mpg.

    there can be many causes for this. since you're still under warranty, take it back and let them go through it with their scanner. what mileage are you expecting, and how are you measuring mpg's?

    If this is the Franken-Prius v rebuild, I doubt any of it is under warranty.

    MPG = miles traveled since last fill-up/gal at fill-up
    readout is always 10% higher
    about 7k miles driven
    no matter how hard or light I drive it same mileage 35-36 same with different driver

    My "trailer" Prius V was corrected with a new fuel pump. I was getting a steady 30 psi when it needed to be 40 to 50 psi.
