Does anyone know how to cancel the POI icons when you are using the route guidance feature in the navigation system? I activated it a while ago while in guidance mode and can not turn it off now. I have no problem deleting POI's when I am not using route guidance. Anytime I am on a freeway or expressway in guidance mode, the screen halves and list all the exits. It is most frustrating. Thanks in advance. (the car is 'O6 and I think has a #8 package )

It normally shows the next three exits on the right half of the screen. If you want to change the display mode, touch the display format button which is about 2/3rds the way down on the left margin. It pops out to show all of the various screen formats, so you can pick one more to your liking. It's all described in the NAV manual. Tom

I just thought that it was showing me exits for the gas stations and food POI icons I could not deactivate. I'll try the other view mode for deleting the exits view anyway.

Also, there is a menu item that allows you to disable the POI while in in the guidance mode. I think it is accessible by touching the Route button, but I am obviously not in the car right now and I am too lazy to go down to the garage to perform some experimentations. If I remember, I'll play with it later and post another message.
OK, I have done some experimentation when I drove the car this morning. Press the Map View button on the NAV screen, the Show POI Icon button on the next one and the POI Off on the screen which follows. That should do it.
