Please show us your emissions tests! (Cat comparison).

Hopefully this is posted in the right forum.

I was hoping that everyone who can, please participate in showing your emissions tests and note your particular Prius (or perhaps other SULEV vehicle), mileage and brand of catalytic converter as well as how old the cat is along with any previous problems or circumstances that may affect emissions.

Although perhaps more prevalent in Gen 2's and Gen 3's than later Prii (for now anyhow), when your catalytic converter is either stolen or just plain dies the question may come up, can a cheap aftermarket catalytic converter perform just as well as an OEM? If so, what brands?

Well, after looking and looking, there doesn't seem to be much documentation on the subject other than (most) aftermarket cats will pass an exhaust sampled emissions test. But that doesn't really tell us much.

So if we could create a database of our emissions tests, both those with OEM catalytic converters and those with aftermarket catalytic converters, that way we may be able to settle this question.

We may also be able to share out experience with their longevity since that would be another factor to consider.
