Last night I went to my dealer and saw my new Prius for the first time. It still has window tinting to be put on it and detailed but here it is. Tuesday 29 August is my pickup date, can't wait!!

Why isn't there a "Cool guys with a black Prius" club??!?? :D

Take it back quick! They got the steering wheel on the wrong side!

Other than that, it looks beautiful!

I was just going to say that, LOL!

Beautiful car! It'll look even better once you get the tint put on it. The black Priuses look so sexy with a nice tint job (perhaps I'm biased). :D So you have another ~4 days until you get to drive that baby off the lot, eh? Betcha can't wait!!

Hey, you could start a Cool Guys in Black Prius Club...

Something that doesn't change with left hand/right hand drive is the 60/40 split rear seat. I like the right hand version better, because you can fold down the passenger seats on the left side, carry home your long load, and still fit two people in the back. As for a club name for the boys with a black Prius, I think I'd better stay out of this one. I've caused enough trouble with the black prius chicks and the red hots already. :)

Congrats. Black is a nice color. I would have gotten that had I not been in El Paso.

    Congratulations!

Wow, your power button is in a really weird place. Southern Hemisphere though, right? Everything rotates backwards.

Is it in a shop for mods already, before you've even worn out your complimentary seat covers?

I hadn't thought of that. Not only does the steering wheel/side of road change in other countries but you suddenly have to become left-handed. Over here all the left hand is good for is hanging on to the steering wheel. I'm not sure my left fingers could do all the stuff demanded in this car. A lot of training needed!

Patient: Doctor, will I be able to play the piano after the operation?

    Doctor: Of course.

Patient: That's great! I never could before!

(Don't know why I was reminded of that.)

Thanks for all your comments, glad you all like it :) Okay, so to answer a few questions...

In the third photo (the one of the interior of the car) you can see where the fob goes in the slot. To the right of the fob slot you can see the EV button. Just slightly to the right of the EV button is where the power button is (I missed it in the original photo)

The package level is equivilent to a package #8 in USA. In Australia, it is called iTech. There are only two package levels, 'base' and 'iTech'. iTech has got everything, base has no additional features. There is no in between.

Yes, it is currently sitting at Toyota getting the windows tinted and paint protection added. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow (Tuesday) evening as long as my loan papers get sorted out (grrrr!)

Yeah, in Canada we only get three packages:
    Base
    Everything but Nav. and leather
    Everything but leather.
Not sure what we do if we want leather.

    Here cow. Here cow. ;)

Beauty mate. Glad that you got your car, Ken. Now you've just gotta get those comfy sheepskin seat covers and you're set.

Absolutely gorgeous! Yeah, I took a double take when I saw the steering wheel on the other side, then I looked at your location and I got it. Still, it's hard to wrap yoru head around.

While I absolutely LOVE the look of a black car, I have to agree with someone who posted the comment here recently... "...black on a car is not a color, it's a hobby." Love the look, hate the maintenence to keep it looking like that.

In Australia, they don't require reflectors (yellow in the front, red in the rear) to be visible at the side of the car so if you noticed, the headlight compound look clear because there's no yellow reflector and in the rear, they're "missing" the two vertical red reflectors. They only have the horizontal one.

Ahh, so you have it like the Japanese do, the button on the below the vent! It's funny cause in UK, the power button is on the dash to the left of the wheel (sorta like a mirror image of ours). I prefer it below the vent, it looks cool.
