What a sad world we live in. If it weren't for fear of others (or the unknown) and money, we'd be in much better shape.
The reason the U.S. didn't make the list is that our d@mned interfering government is choking off free enterprise by enacting and enforcing laws to prevent this kind of pollution. The b@$turds!. If it weren't for Federal Regulations we could have made the top 10! At least we can rest easy in the knowledge that we have outsourced some of our market capitalism to India and China. Whether any of it is involved in any of the areas listed, I don't know. There's probably no way of knowing. (But that won't keep people from blaming APPLE.)
we did not make the list because we spent several billion dollars cleaning up the worst spots....unfortunately, there are thousands of spots left in the US that go on ignored.
