    Can someone explain to me how I should be reading this display. I'm more interested in the fuel costing part.

    welcome!
    no idea, but i'll take a whack at it. you don't have the correct fuel cost input. the manual should specify how to update that.
    then you will get the correct cost when you fill up

    When you fuel up, you can input the price per gallon (the system prompts you automatically when you turn the car on after filling the gas tank). When that is input correctly, you will get a correct value for "fuel cost from start" (fuel expended since the most recent time you turned the car on) at the bottom right corner. The triangle indicator on top of the horizontal bar shows how your current driving performance is costing you in terms of dollars per kilometer. The further to the right, the more expensive it is.

    What michael said up there. To be honest though, if you ever use it, you'll notice it ALWAYS ends up around 5 cents per gallon making it a pretty worthless.
