It seems about once a week the rubber cover that goes over the food pedal for the parking brake comes off. I've been careful to replace it correctly but it still keeps happening? Anyone else have this issue? Btw it's a 2010 v with atp

Perhaps a bit of shoe-goo would help.

I dont have a prius yet, but for my hiundai scoop (back in 90') super glue in the rubber slot and correct replacement worked!!
And you can still remove it if needed, but i dont think you will need to remove it again anyway!

Have the dealer replace it under warranty.

I had the same problem. I had it repaired (reattached with glue) under warranty while I was at the dealership for an oil change.

I had the same problem with my 2010 II. It was replaced under warranty. I think the original one had a small tear in one of the corners so it did not fit tight enough to stay on.

If you want a do-it-yourself solution, I'd use clear hot glue. I've found it very useful for a variety of interior automotive fixes. With some heat applied, can be removed in the future without damaging the surrounding parts.

Easy fix. Get one of those self-locking bands, one that's about 8 inches long. Loop it vertically around the middle of the pedal, pull tight & cut off access. Mine fell off over 100,000 miles ago (on my '08), and this has worked perfectly ever since.

Wow that happens to me all the time as well on my 2010 v. Had the dealer 'fix' it under warranty and the fix lasted about a day :(. Guess I will try gluing it

I noticed that shoes with knobby soles tended to catch the pedal cover and pull it off. But, glue works.
