Parking assist

    While waiting at the doctor today, I caught a news report about the parking assist feature on the Prius (although they called the Prius and "Echo"). They showed one in action in England.

    I have heard about it before (and read about it on this site), but had never seen it in action. Actually, it looks pretty cool for a person who parallel parks a lot.

    They showed that you enter into reverse, and then push a button on the MFD screen...then let go and it parks itself!

    They are no saying that this feature should be available in the US soon.

    I will try to find the station that carried the story...I think it was a local Los Angeles Station.

    I caught it also. Not a bad segment except for the Echo mistake... It was on KCAL Ch. 9 news. I've got it saved to an .avi file but it's 23megs. Too big to attach here in PC. :(
