I've been looking through posts, but not seeing a ton of New England posts...

    I just got quoted:

"Currently our Prius with the Package 2 you selected are priced at $24,376 and are ordered with wheel-locks and floormats included in the vehicle."

I'm being told a 6-8 week wait (which is fine in my book)...

I'm getting this ballpark from other dealers in the area... I'm just wondering if it sounds reasonable, or could I do better?

Sounds good to me! My dealer told me he is not taking any more orders/wait lists for the Prius.

I had to pay 25200 as they located a car that has toyoguard, mud flaps, mats, and rear bumper guard. And I feel lucky to get one at all, due in 6-20, currently on a boat.

$400 price increase by Toyota this month.
Mats are $169, I think, no idea on the locks. As long as there are no other add-ons, I'd go for it.
And even if you do better, they can't keep your deposit if you don't take delivery.:usa2:

Are you going to go for it bctoboston!

I have ZERO regrets and have driven from home to NC and back with the 4 of us and luggage. kids were fine as were we. and winter driving is not a problem. I would think better tires, that have been suggested here would be even better. :D

I'm meeting with two dealers in that ballpark tomorrow!!

I'm so conflicted as my current car (awful gas guzzler) is paid off... but I'm shelling so much out in fuel, this won't take long for me to break even! (I commute 120 miles roundtrip 5 days a week!)

I'll let you all know how it goes! I'm also thinking the magnetic gray :)

The Toyota Configurator MSRP for a Package 2 with wheel locks & mats is $24,374 in the mid-Atlantic.

Rep308 - IRA is one of my quotes, same ballpark. I'm chatting with Boch near my work in Norwood today... Apparantly March vs Now... huge difference. Thanks supply and demand. ;-)

Guess I better put my order in soon before they go up again! :)

Find a dealer who will take the invoice price for the car. They are out there. Don't pay a big premium. When they get a handle on oil futures, gas prices will come down and the Prius market will normalize. Washington can't let the oil futures price go much higher. It's beginning to affect the stock market and the financial picture.

I'm glad you said that. I'm waiting for the Prius market to stabilize, hopefully around late fall gas prices will drop somewhat when the driving season is over and demand will wane, and come winter people will want their big 4x4's again.

Not me - even if gas prices stabilize for a year, its only a matter of time before it skyrockets again.

Hey, I just signed with Boch this morning! I tried 3 places, they had the lowest price. I have a 5 to 8 week wait.
