    Hello Prius owners and mechanics,

I’m new 2008 Prius owner. Recently, the check engine light came up. Upon quick pc scan, We found p1121 error code.

Is it safe to drive to the nearest shop (250 miles)? How dangerous is the issue?

    Welcome to PriusChat!!

You should be safe if the only known OBD2 codes (DTCs) are P1121 and P1150. Please confirm that the OBD2 code reader you're using is fully compatible with toyota hybrids, as not all code readers are.

If replacing, there have been reported issues with aftermarket ”Coolant Flow Control Valve” parts leaking, find one with a warranty if possible.
