    Hey guys, I am in such a hurry, I have a Prius 2007, I used this car to work so I really need some recommendations;
I got P0A93, C1300 + oxygen sensor codes, after Red Triangle, Red Exclamation Mark Car, Check Engine.
The dashboard has been failing, sometimes on rainy days it just doesn't turn on, even if its running.
I called Toyota for the Combo meter failure warranty and said that the car was bought in 2006, so I don't have the warranty, isn't that crazy?
Well now I've been having low milage, from 51mpg with Techtron, to 41mpg, I bought the 12v battery a year ago, so could it be the oxygen sensors? maybe I need to change the electric coolant liquids?

Does anybody knows a good mechanic in Houston, Tx.?
    Thank you

I doubt it is the HV battery, I think it might be the water pump of the Inverter and the sensors perhaps?

they only do batteries? too bad. maybe they can recommend someone local.

you can check the inverter pump by making the car ready and see if there is any movement in the reservoir.

send the dealer and toyota customer care a letter that describes in detail the problem that every time you drive your prius you cannot see how fast you are going, and are not sure if your car is really shut off, or in park, or D, due to their faulty hardware, then ask the dealer to pursue a goodwill warranty claim on your behalf to replace the faulty display. then you will probably get a statement in writing from them that they will not repair the combo meter under warranty or under a goodwill arrangement via toyota customer care.
then you have what you need...
so if anything happens while you are driving the faulty toyota they refused to fix, toyota corporate, and that particular dealership can be added to the list of people being sued.
the warranty enhancement issued by toyota for the combo meter is an official admission that they are aware of the fault, and the danger it can cause. the letter even states to not operate the vehicle with a dead combo meter!
when you accidentally crash into a school bus, and total your prius(oh darn), you and every child on that bus can sue toyota and the dealer :)

you have to get the o2 sensors replaced, and deal with the inverter pump.
maybe the pump is ok but the fluids are low?
the o2 sensors could cause you to run very rich, burning alot of extra gas, and killing mpg.
the inverter pump issue also could be limiting how much charging your battery system can do, also killing mpg.
there was an inverter pump recall a few years ago, was yours ever performed?

also , without the combo meter, it is really easy to assume you powered off the car, when in reality, it is still in READY mode. so you get out walk away, and 5 minutes later the ice comes on to keep the engine warm and battery charged:) and it keeps coming on all night ! another mpg killer...

depending on your situaton, after you get estimates to repair all of the above, consider trading the car on a newer certified preowned prius on the dealer lot ? they may offer you enough on the trade, that along with the service savings cost of not having to do the repairs, the newer prius isnt too much of a stretch.
all those repairs for the dealer are low cost and they can flip the car for a profit in a week. and you get a newer ride where all the problems are put off for many more years.

You seem to be really hung up on the O2 sensors.

If you don't mind me asking, what were the actual codes you got that lead you to believe there is an O2 sensor problem?

IMHO, you need to deal with the two codes you got.

P0A93 points to a problem with the inverter cooling. You need to diagnose the problem here and fix it. This should be your top priority.

C1300 points to a malfunction reported by the Skid Control ECU. This may possibly be a bogus code.

What are you using to read codes?

Argh, cross posting. It makes it hard to follow. I have read all the other threads and still can't follow what's going. Fairly sure there's no resolution. Time to move on.

i think the base problem is financial. it's unfortunate, but it makes owning a vehicle difficult, especially a hybrid with high miles.

sorry for the delay, yeah, They gave me hell, first the guy promised that I had the warranty, and ask to double check because it is far, BS! I left my car there and no warranty, I have a letter more like an invoice duplicate they just replaced the shaft of the steering wheel. A extrange thing is that on the way there, all the lights went off. The millage is still down though, Anyway, who should I sent the letter to?

Yup, well, on the way to the dealership, all the lights went off, the guy at the dealership said that the replaced the water pump for that recall 4 years ago, but he said that could fail again, I haven't change the coolant ever, I have a year or more with the car, It was full when I bought it.
I've noticed that the electric engine doesn't kick in anymore when i am above 50m/h just sometimes, and I remember that before I used to drive it in hybrid mode.
I have been getting the check engine light for a while and it always throws the upstream downstream and fuel oxygen sensor, but then the light goes off again, I thought it might be because the inverter catalytic is the universal one.

Try cleaning to maf sensor and throttle body. That may help with the air fuel sensor error

Going from a full tank of coolant to "low" in a year indicates there's a coolant leak. If the pump is leaking you'll need to replace the pump.

car should not burn or leak coolant.
the combo meter problem isnt whats causing you low mileage.
you need to fix your coolant pump asap, it is causing your low mileage problem and probably overheating your inverter.
it will kill the inverter which will be alot more expensive to fix than just the pump.
    once you fix that
then diagnose o2 sensor and other sensor issues. those issues may go away once you fix the main problem the pump/leaking fluid.
then deal with the combo meter.
you will have to remove it yourself, ship it out for repair, or replace it with a fixed one.

also the mpg dropped after you used the seafoam. that isnt unheard of.
did you use the seeafoam in the fuel or suck it into the air intake ?
and now you are also adding techron ??
why so many attempts to "clean" the fuel system and / or engine?
you cleaned out the fuel system / engine, but all the gunk etc can
    foul the spark plugs
    destroy the o2 sensors
    clog up the catalytic converters.

after a fuel system clean sometimes it is a good idea, or necessary, to replace the plugs
ina prius that is a relatively easy DIY and inexpensive. might as well do it now so you can be sure your plugs are good, can also inspect the old plugs and see what they look like.
you probably killed the o2 sensors since they are throwing codes?
dont fix these yet, like i said do the inverter pump first and then see what still isnt working.

skip the MAF for now, it is easy to clean, you clean it with an aerosol can of MAF cleaner, just spray it onto the sensor about 5 times in a row, preferably NOT while its installed on the car. then let it dry, dont scrub it,dont touch it, just spray it to disolve any film that might be on it.
once you see how to clean it, if its still throwing codes you will see how easy it could be to replace. dont replace it until you tried cleaning it.
but, in order, you need to
get the inverter pump fixed coolant low issue resolved.
    change the plugs yourself (easy)
recheck if any codes for o2 or maf
    replace o2 and clean maf
    replace maf if necessary
    replace combo meter yourself. pita

stop adding cleaners to your car!
