I did bring back my old battery from the wreckers and tested all the cells they all read at 7.8 to 7.9 volts.

Its not impossible that the "used" battery you bought is bad.

wow, that's some serious kilometer age!

you have to do more serious cell testing with toyota tech stream software.

we do not like refurb batts too much, we recommend new batts from Toyota if you can swing it.

As far as Taxi service, we do have some past threads from European Gen3 taxi drivers who seemed to find the Europe Gen3 version was not quite as robust for taxi service and there were few hybrid parts they were suspicious of as well as battery fails. Don't know if any of that applies to v...probably not I think the Europe v is Lithium Ion battery.

In Calgary we don't have anybody who can test the cells even Toyota they just use the scanner thinking of getting hybrid battery testing training. Will be good money making in Calgary.

if it runs fine, and your mpg's are the same, it must be a borderline cell? perhaps you can just ignore it.

What is tb 1 and how do you check the temprature and the resistance on the battery. The funny thing is I bought the used battery from someone it behaves the same way as my old one. I do have my old on when I checked the voltage all the cells have 7.8 to 7.9 volts in them

TB# stands for Temperature Battery (sensor) 1,2, or 3 (I think)

You need android app Torque and a Bluetooth or Wifi dongle to check TB# and resistance. Good info under the How To link on the web page I referenced above.

Make sure that your cooling fan intake is not blocked or clogged. If the traction battery is not getting proper air flow, it can trigger error codes. The fan intake is under the rear bench seat (passenger side?)

    Best of luck!
