can you have a p0a7a with no dash lights (no check engine light) and seems to drive fine? Got a call from a friend who's trying to buy a Prius and when it's scanned it showed p0a7a only (scanner can't read sub code) told him can't really verify the real issue (or how bad it is) without the sub code. car drives fine and was wondering if there are cases where a P0a7a doesn't really trigger a check engine light or RTOD?
Well I imagine the car could drive fine It's just saying that there was a problem with some sort of voltage in the DC to AC converter right.
A 'permanent' code will show up on a scanner without lighting a warning light. It remains from a code that was reported as 'current' in the past and may have been fixed; the car eventually deletes 'permanent' codes if the problem is no longer seen. A P0A7A definitely lights both the master-warning and check-engine lights, and limits driving, if it is current.
