    Hi all,

I recently had my 2013 Prius brake master cylinder assembly (47050-47180 including gasket) replaced along with the brake fluid by local Prius mechanic. I noticed the brake reservoir was overfilled which I originally thought was only 1/4 inch.

However, after some reading in these forums I discovered I needed to check reservoir levels at zero down. I let it sit overnight and opened the hood from passenger side door. The reservoir tank was now so overfilled that fluid was coming out of the top cap.

I need opinions on if I should drain it from top myself or just take it back to the shop?

Could them overfilling it this much have caused any damage?

My paperwork says they bled the brakes with Techstream, but now I am wondering if they really did.

If I drain it from the top by removing the cap of the reservoir do I need to do anything with Techstream afterwards?

Thank you in advance for any feedback!

Just use a thing called a turkey baster and pull out what you like till you get it on the line whether zero down and sitting all night I guess that's how it is now so suck it down until you're on the full line and leave it alone but just remember when you wake up one day and it's a little low that that's normal You've got the right amount in there there's just some somewhere else at the moment or whatever You certainly don't want it so overfilled that you're bleeding out of the top of the cap that's almost doubly overfield I can see an inch over the line possibly that wouldn't hurt a thing but you're talking 3 in or close to it

I figured out how to attach the pictures. One shows after the car is started and the other is at zeroed down state.
