Hey! I was wondering (I'm a new owner,3 days old, of an '06 Prius w/package #7) if you run out of gas does your car still run with the electric engine?? If so, how long can you go for? :blink: RR

The short answer is yes, it will run on battery at low speed to get safely off the road, don't try to drive too far as you can severely damage the High Voltage battery. This is a qustion that has come up many time. The Search button at the top of every page is your friend! Do a search for out of gas and you can read member's first hand experiences.
