To any PriusChat readers in London and the UK, or expats in North America and elsewhere: We send you our thoughts and our hearts to your and your families. This is truly awful. I'm not good at saying the right things; but we wish you strength and healing.
Although I'm relatively new to the boards, I want to say the rest of the world grieves with you. Hopefully someday we can put a stop to such cowardly acts.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those in London today, and to those here and abroad who may have friends and family in London. It's frustrating, senseless, and maddening that this happened to London, especially on the heels of happy news of the 2012 Olympic site award. You have my deepest sympathies. Dave.
As an American my deepest thoughts and prayers go out to your country.Maybe someday the cowards who commit these horrible acts will rot in HELL. Jim
First prayers go out to those in London. This incident was total shock for me, because I just back form Europe for business trip. But I was not in England. I was in Germany, Italy and Swiss for past 2 weeks and I was traveling on train(s). When I was in Italy, I was worry about similar type of problem. Specially when I was traveling on Eurostar, because I notice there is no security for small or large town train station. And peopler are easily come and go.(If anyone travel in Europe might notice train station is wide open).
My thoughts, as well, are with the people of London today, especially the victims and their families. Killing innocents is never a good way to convince anyone to see any possible merits of your cause, and most likely will only serve to unite your enemies, to search out and annihilate the hatred and evil you epitomize.
Lord, Have mercy on the families of the dead and may the injured be healed quickly. May the slain rest in peace in heaven's grace. Amen Now, get the rope
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Guffman\";p=\"105244)</div> Actually, terrorism has worked rather well in making populations give into the will of the terrorists in the Post WWII era. There are several articles out detailing a number of such actions. The butchers of the IRA and PLO come to mind, but there are a number of others. Osama bin Laden might be a future White House guest for President Hilllary Rodham Clinton if she brokered a deal for peace after he suitcase nuked an American city and threatened us with another. Bush would tell him to do his worst, so there is no profit in hitting the USA hard at the moment, which sort of insulates us against this to a degree. Spain capitulated and now is paying tribute monthly to the Islamic churches in Spain, so the London bombings are a direct attempt to remove the sole militarily significant American ally in the war on terror. It did work in Spain, time will tell if it will work on the English.
Terrorists failed. IMO, their objective was to see the G-8 summit cancelled and resources diverted away from the humanitarian investment plans being negotiated and induce further US/UK focus on combat. Instead, the group has united and continues their respective, strategic meetings and negotiations on concrete, humanitarian investments in Africa et al. ...while the international counter-terror unity gains yet more traction in coordinating and jointly enforcing stability and normalcy as necessary.. Peace to all for sake of our children~

You see, they were not against the war on terror, only GW's mis-leadership of it. But this is not the time for politics, or at the very least, this is not the thread for politics. I too offer my condolences and prayers to the people of London and the families and victims.
prius04, I couldn't offer my agreement more so.. well said. (on side note, let us remember and pray for the families too, of the 78 (?) spanish service members killed, returning from duty in Afghanistan...salute.) Peace, all...for the sake of our children~
Yes, let's try to avoid bringing politics in this thread. Let's keep it to extending our condolences to the people of London and the UK.
My condolences to the British People, may God or a Supreme Being, bring forth peace and understanding to all mankind. The carnage done did not improve things for anyone, and Terrorism is not the way to get things done.
