Would appreciate any feedback from folks who have already replaced their original struts.
It appears there are only 4 options:
    1) OEM from Toyota (supposedly KYB makes them for our Prius'.)
    2) Gabriel Ultra
    3) KYB
    4) Monroe OE Spectrum

Is one maker is truly better than another?
Supposedly KYB are OE (Original Equiment) for our Prius'.

Anyone get Gabriel or Monroe? If so, how do you like them?

Laslty, thoughts on Monroe's 5 year/50,000 mile replacement commercial? Can't go wrong with a frequent maintenance interval, but may be doing it unnecessarily.

    Thanks.

KYB is the original equipment manufacturer of the Toyota-branded struts/shocks.

I used KYB at 150k miles (now at 254k) on my 2004 Gen2 and am pleased with the result. Note that the KYBs have a lifetime warranty so if they get soft I receive new parts for free, but have to pay for labor (or DIY) and mounting HW.
