I tried contacting Toyota HQ and their answers were not clear and scripted, stating that their cars were built "perfect" and require no additional rust proofing.

Dealer of course offers the $2000 electronic module but they also were reluctant on applying oil-based rust proofing on my hybrid despite offering it on non-hybrid cars, which concerns me since this wasn't a cash-grab move.

Living in Southwestern Ontario, there's probably more salt than snow during winter and I quite frankly want to drive this car until the wheels fall off. What should I do? Leave it as is? I need advise. Thank you.
