My Prius has Entune and GPS, is there a built-in app that I can watch the condition of my HV battery or better to diagnostic? thanks.
Unfortunately, no In fact, engine is close to useless You can get dr Prius for your phone though, Bluetooth obd connection
As @bisco said, Dr Prius should give you what you're looking for. I'm curious, though. Are you having a problem that needs diagnosis or just curious? Unless you're over 100,000 miles, the HV battery is still under warranty for a little while yet, unless the car was originally purchased more than 8 years ago.
I am new to Prius? Is my HV battery on the way out? I don't know. I bought 2012 Prius III with 121,000+ miles. HV battery pack seems to be OK? it got almost fully charge when driving, some time went down to almost half and got back on. There were times it dropped to 2-3 bars just for parking several hours, but driving would bring the bars up high again.
What brand and model of ODB? I saw on Amazon Kobra ODB2, is it good to work on Prius? never use one before, easy to use and no harm at all? thanks.
Some say just drive it. Some will want live engine, mg1, mg2, coolant, radiator, inverter temps & etc status while lower grill block to maximize mpgs. I’m the latter. Dr Prius is great for hv bat status, hybrid assistant is great for engine stats.
idk. there are lots of threads here on what people are using. be careful not to buy something that hasn't been shown to work with prius, it is finicky
