I have always seen the usual OCC setups All with different locations but leading to the same PCV location. I recently have been looking around and stumbled on a few images that seem to show an entirely different setup. The first two images are of the ZVW30 The other images are of the ZVW50 My question is...will running this setup be the same as the other setup going to the PCV Seems much easier to work with and remove if needed. Sheesh you can even run both setups and be double protected.
Just editorial, that's 3rd gen (m/y 201~2015) and 4th gen (m/y 2016~2022) respectively? A few comments: Those are long lines. In particular the gen 3, presumably tapping in at the pcv valve to intake hose. SAE30R7 (or R6) fuel hose is much more durable. Airplane style clamps are not necessary with properly sized barb connections, actually detrimental. ^ The gen 4 plumbing seems to be connection to the valve cover PCV hose, not the one further down on the front of the block with PCV valve at the head? That's not optimum, I think: the bulk of the detrous, if not all, comes via the hose from the PCV valve.
Both Gen models pictured are routed from the air intake and to the valve cover pcv, they do not go to the lower pcv location. You say that the lower one is the major cause for all the oil in the intake manifold but....if you think about it, the lower pcv has a mesh screen and opens and closes correct? The valve cover pcv is open all the time with no mesh screen. Something to think about...
