Looking under my wife's Prius, there is a square-ish tower (for lack of a better word) located behind the rear axle and forward of the spare tire well, centered on the car. It has holes in the bottom like something should mount to it. It almost appears to be a jacking point. Yah, I know, read the manual... Did I miss this?

Yes, it is a jacking point.

Yup, jacking point. It used to be in the manual for 2005 and 2006, but they might have "improved" the manual. They also show a front jacking point, but it is so far under and the car is so low that I can't operate the handle on my floor jack. I have used the rear jacking point when installing mudflaps.
