when I shift from P into D, the lights near my shifter to show the gear position go out. Does yours do that?
I checked mine today... When I have parking lights or headlights on, the selector on floor lights up in P and when switched to D When I have DRL on or off, the selector does not light up at all. So I dont think it means any much, but if you want to dig deeper, sounds like there may be some type or short or something happening, if that is the case. HOWEVER< not sure if any of it has to do with the dash photovoltic sp? sensor with day/night?
Thank you. I don't think I want to dig any deeper into this. It sounds to me as if your car acts the same as mine with the selector not lighting up at times.
