I can post threads and initiate conversations, but cannot now reply to either. New issue withing 2 weeks, two different Win7 computers using firefox 41.0.2 or better.

Most grateful if any suggestions get posted here but I cannot reply directly. Would need to start a new thread to do so.

    Weird eh?

I am entering this text as a reply with 'wireshark' running. I will pause for a minute before hitting 'Post Reply'. This will give us two sets of packets and I'll post an analysis. See if you can get 'wireshark' to run on one of your computers and we can compare the results.

Wireshark is a packet-level capture program

See if you can edit the original post?

Make sure you can ping the two priuschat IP addresses:
    104.28.16.211 - 90% of all traffic
    104.28.17.211 - 10% of traffic

There are three other interesting IP addresses that show up as TCP streams that may be 'adware'
    23.7.209.33 - some http traffic
23.220.103.137 - a lot of TLSv1 traffic (i.e., encrypted) not clear what it is doing.
    74.125.21.156 - a smaller set of TLSv1 traffic (i.e., encrypted) ""

I can try to replicate the symptom by firewall blocking some of the IP addresses.

    Getting interesting:

    HYPOTHESIS:
    1. "Great Firewall" does not like 'https'
    2. "Great Firewall" does not like one or more IP addresses (ping test, not 192.168.150.68, my Mac)

I got this note from Doug via e-mail:

Pleading ignorance of the first degree.

From my perspective, everything worked with the exact same hardware and software. Until it didn't. The transition coincided with the OCO map I posted as a link (*), but 'ran' by itself. That also surprised.

So I went back to delete the thing but could not. No power of editing.

I see two options within my skill level. One is to ask a moderator to flush the OCO post

Other is to create a new identity and let folks decide for themselves if it's still me. That would only work if the Tochatihu identity is corrupted somehow. and I don't really know what that would mean?

Could fall out of PC entirely also. That is not entirely unwise. But once in a while interesting things happen, and the December COP meeting might lead to useful discussions.

Although not likely, Doug may try a test account. I am more inclined towards:
    1. Network issues associated with the "Great Firewall" - some folks do not like encrypted links.
    2. Network issues associated with the Google push towards SSH/SSL - my older Safari browser complains about the certificates and won't render (it could be TSLv1 too.)
Not trying to be difficult, just sharing symptoms. Does a higher ranking in Google because of SSH/SSL compensate for fewer people able to access a web site . . . a business question for Google. Understand, I'm a retro, HTML manual coder wondering what is wrong with Perl CGI . . . pardon me, I have to go out and bay at the moon.

I tried to create a new PriusChat account, but that did not work either, Specifically the CAPTCHA verification does not appear. Therefore an error, and no progress.

Sometimes we close trouble tickets with "cleared while testing." It seems to happen more often when there are open discussions of symptoms and observations. Then we go find something else to work on. <GRINS>

Doug has the symptoms and I'm glad this 'reply' got through. I am curious about whether or not 'edit' function is there. For example, I was surprised that "Edit" was replaced by "Tools" that gave an option for "Edit" in some threads.

Well, here's the confusing part. I was sending a PM (conversation) to Danny and part of that text oecame posted to this thread above.

I am writing here an actual reply. Apologize for the confusion.

Sorry about that problem, everyone. If you are reading this and still having trouble, please email me using my "username @ priuschat.com". The issue centered around a CloudFlare feature called "RocketLoader" that changed how the javascript was being loaded and apparently was screwing up the reply box javascript.
