I've seen other threads on this, but wanted to check on my particular situation. From what I've seen it usually seems to be a combination meter, but I wanted to double check.

For a while now, my dashboard lights haven't been lighting up. Occasionally they will, but very rarely. The display with the battery efficiency turns on and will show the car icon for the electricity generated, but is not displaying any associated numbers.

Headlights and everything else still seem to be working, but the spedometer and odometer are not shown at these times.

yes it's your combination meter that's causing the issue.

You need to replace the bad capacitor on that combination meter - that's why it'll boot-up every once in a while. It'll be fairly obvious, once you get that board out. They usually bleed or get bloated.

    Hope this helps...
