No beep when lock using remote?

    Just picked up my 2012 Prius C. When I lock the car using the remote, the light flashes, and the doors lock, but no beep to confirm the doors were locked. Is that normal?

    Yes, normal. Only the upper trim levels with the Smart Key System beep.

    yup.. beeping can be annoying. lol. i like my C2 without it.

    Welcome to Priuschat. I notice in another post you used metric measurements when talking about distance and fuel economy, so I'm guessing this suggests you probably are not based in the US. Trim levels differ between different markets and this will change the answer to your question. If you're not in the US, let us know what country you are in and that will help us know if yours is meant to beep or not. If you like, it's often a good idea to add your location to your profile.
