    Hi All,

Firstly a bit of background, this car is a japanese import that i bought second hand but has been taken very very good care of. Over the past month i have been seeing the turtle a little more often after using the battery a lot (city driving etc) and last night i had the master warning light come on and now it will appear everytime the car is started.

The battery however is now always showing a full charge, and the car seems to be running very well although doesnt seem to be changing to battery only power at all now, which leads me to think the battery has lost a few cells or is on the way out.

Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing, i have applied to join the Prius Mk1 group on Yahoo and just thought i would see if i could get an idea of the problem before i take it to the mechanic.

    cheers

    Benton

    hi Benton

unfortunately the vehicle you have isnt supported by Toyota Australia, has it was a Jap Import, but if you havent already done so you should probably ring around a few toyota dealers and see if they can help you dicipher the error code your getting

i see a few on the imports on sale now on carsales.com.au going for a bargain, but not many ppl want to buy them as there is no support for those vehicles here.

    :(

    Hi Benton,

You might want to try disconnecting the 12 V battery, wait about 5-10 mins., and then reconnet it back, see if that might reset the computer.
    Good Luck,
    Howie
