Well I've just joined the community of Prius owners.. after a year and a half of saving money I just walked into the local Toyota Dealership and tested out an '05 Prius... should have seen the look on the salesman's face when I pulled out 15,000 in cash I got myself a fully loaded Black '05, Leather, Alloy and backup camera, only 75,000 miles tomorrow I take delivery of it, it is going through detailing right now and they are fixing a few issues I noticed
I am going to love this just driving this... coming from a 1976 240D diesel and getting on the highway was scary! The Prius is definetly an improvement and going 70mph and getting 38mpg? Why not! I do a lot of highway driving so this car is going to pay for itself, last year I drove 65,000 miles in my 240D problems and all with 1 headgasket change on the side of the road.... The cincher was getting 6,500.00 for the 240D on Ebay.. I will miss that old smokey diesel but it's time to move on.
Handing over a large cash lump sum for a purchase is something I think we would all enjoy, but in the UK garages and other retail outlets that sell expensive goods will not accept cash due to our money laundering laws. Congrats on your purchase. John.
