Will post pic later, but roughly 33 miles to work Tuesday morning.

I had been meaning to jack my tire PSI up to 40, and when I checked I had some at 30 and 32 :-o

The change has made a big difference in all my trips, but I went from a high of 72.x to almost 75 to work - I'll take it!

Sadly, summer heat is back here, so low 90's are killing me on the way home, only getting 58-62 on the way back :-( The cool mornings are awesome though!

Is there an elevation difference that would be causing the majority of the difference? Or is traffic simply worse in the evening?

Regardless, congrats on the great mileage!

My best MPG is 161.0 on a 9,2 mile trip to the movies. It was downhill (1028 ft. drop in elevation) found using the Google Earth App. Coming home uphill the MPG was 54.8 MPG. I have made this drive along the same route many times with about the same results!

Niiice. The biggest difference I believe is that on the way in - I'm driving windows cracked, no AC, way home, instead of say 70 out, it 90+, AC on. There is an elevation difference which probably plays a factor but on a few cool days when I don't need AC on the way home I can see the MPG jack up to mid to high 60's.

From my garage to the first stop sign is about 1.8 miles. Driving this distance the car loses about 800 ft. When I make this stop my EV battery is always fully charged. The Prius C is always then in the EV stealth mode. Even in the desert winter time. That is why I can create large MPG's. Experience climbing the 800 ft. going home has taught me 35 mph is the best mileage speed going up my hill.

61 out of a tank is my typical average..... I think some of the smaller trips that are sub 2 miles, and mid-day at work for meetings + my return drive home (58-65 depending on the day, temperature etc) kill it.

In my routine I drive 3 miles to work then 3 miles home, 4 miles to pick up my son from practice then back. then another child to practice then back home an hour later. the mpg is great when I go round trip without the car cooling off. Also the A/C when it is really hot can drop mpg to 40 or less and that is in eco mode. so I try to just put the window down.:)
