Got a low mileage 2010 Winter Grey Prius and I love it. It's my second hybrid-I had one of the original Honda Insights, but it was just too small for my needs. The Prius is roomy, and just makes sense for me. Happy with the gas mileage, so far still on first full tank. It came with the Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires, so I'll be sticking with those for awhile. I live in Northeast Ohio, and am hoping the Winter driving is manageable. If not, I'll be getting snow tires or staying home when we have bad snow :) This forum has been really helpful with tips and info!

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride. I highly recommend snow tires but if you have the option of staying home, that might work.

Just signed up! Just bought my first Hybrid, 2012 Blizzard Pearl Prius Three! The first Insight is a cool looking car though! Haha! But, I don't know why the second gen gets less mileage? The Prius just keeps getting better! I guess that's why I see like, 20 Prii for every 1 Insight!!

It is a reduced cost hybrid, aiming for a lower price point than Prius and earlier Honda hybrids. Thus, it did not get the full Honda IMA system found in the Civic Hybrid and Insight-I.

Unfortunately, it didn't make a compelling combination for many customers, especially as Toyota played hardball on pricing with the introduction of a new improved Prius. Too bad, because I wanted to see more widespread competition and innovation in this market.

Ahhhh, now I see! Thanks! Yea, I know what you mean about more competition and such....looks like Ford is starting to step up their MPG's though with the new Fusion and C-Max...but still not as much as the Prius!
