Just got my 2008 package 2 Friday (11/16) and just had the windows tinted today at Tint Connection in Culver City.

Has anyone noticed a difference in reception from your previous car with a standard length antenna to the prius with the short antenna? In L.A. it seems like my fm reception is not as good as it once was. I'm thinking its just because of the shortened antenna, since i noticed a similar loss of signal when my old antenna was half way extended.

There was only one model year in which there were nine option packages, 2004. IIRC, there are 6 numbered option packages for the 2008 model year plus the stripped down base model and the Touring variations.

Yes. I live in a rural area where signal strength varies considerably depending on where I am, and I have to admit the (FM) reception in the Prius is the worst I have had in any car. It got even worse when I switched to a shark-fin antenna.

I'm an Aussie and even I know.
Does CHiPs ring any bells? Think about 2 cops on motorbikes riding down the highway side by side smiling at each other in their skin tight short sleave shirts. Yes it sounds a little gay but that's the mental image I get when anyone mentions CHiPs even though I'm straight.

i have a Honda Civic 2005 model which i just bought in Feb this year, i really love the car and i also love the Prius reading all about it, so i do not know whether to ditch the civic and get a Prius !
