Just bought a 2014 Prius 2, winter gray metallic, love it!!! My record so far is getting 70 MPG in city driving!! One question about the air condition. I heard that it uses electrical power instead of gas, so does that mean it doesn't reduce MPG when it's in use while driving? I have been reading the forum for a while and just joined, looks like a lot on wonderful and helpful people here :)

Your A/C uses energy, and all your car's energy comes, directly or indirectly, from the gas tank, so A/C use reduces MPG. Set your climate air temp as high as still comfortable to minimise the energy loss.

it is more efficient than a belt driven and allows a/c to stay on when ice is off.
